Eye In The Sky
Thank you for considering sponsorship of the Aerial Support Partnership.
This Partnership provides service to our community in two different ways:
- 1. An aerial platform in our community to assist in law enforcement activities, search and rescue, disaster response efforts, traffic reporting and news coverage functions.
ASP is partnering with the Colorado Springs Police Department, El Paso County Sheriff’s Office and El Paso County Search and Rescue along with the local Television News Stations.
- 2. A youth training program geared towards creating opportunities in aviation and law enforcement for underprivileged kids. Youth who participate will be given pilot training to the rating of Private Pilot along with certification as Tactical Flight Officer. As participants reach young adulthood, this will empower them in their quest towards a career in either Aviation or Law Enforcement.

Philosophy
1. No Kill
Wild Blue Animal Rescue and Sanctuary will not kill any animals under our care. Euthanization will only be used as a last resort for animals suffering severe injuries or illnesses that are causing extreme discomfort and poor quality of life for the animal. We hope to share our No Kill philosophy and efforts throughout our region in an attempt to build a more harmonious and healthy relationship between the people and animals of Colorado.
2. Natural Approach
Wild Blue uses a natural approach to our interaction with animals; we believe in working to communicate with our animals in a way that is natural to the animals. In essence, we try to learn their language, rather than only expecting them to learn ours.
3. Animal-Human Connection
At Wild Blue, we believe in developing respect, compassion and leadership in people though caring for God’s creatures. Our volunteer program is based on this tenet. We also hope to lead the animals that come to us through respect and compassion, and then facilitate the help they can give back to people, particularly those with disabilities or emotional conditions. For example, we know that Equine Assisted Therapy can help soldiers returning from the War on Terror cope with PTSD, and we believe that Pet Therapy using cats and dogs can help children with Autism or senior citizens suffering from loneliness. Put simply, it is our ultimate goal to help animals as they help us.
4. Spay/Neuter
Wild Blue will Spay/Neuter all animals we take on at our facility. Also, we intend to run low cost spay/neuter drives at nearby Veterinary Hospitals to help control the birth of animals who are not able to be cared for. We also hope to institute a Trap-Neuter-Release (TNR) program for the feral cats of the Black Forest.
5. Caring for the Environment
Wild Blue is passionate about caring for the environment. Our operations will always attempt to maintain the natural beauty of our area. Our landscaping, animal areas, and buildings will be natural, clean, and pleasant. We will continue to the extent possible with our funding.

Buffalo Wild Wings to Salute Military Throughout May
(April 30, 2012) — May is Military Appreciation Month. To honor military service members and their families, participating Buffalo Wild Wings restaurants will be supporting the VFW Foundation’s Return the Favor campaign for the second year in row.
During May’s “Salute the Troops” program, participating locations will be donating 10% of total food and non-alcoholic beverage purchases for guests who presents a Military ID, VFW Membership card or Return the Favor card.
“We’re proud to be paying tribute to our nation’s brave service men and women,” says Jeffrey Miller, the restaurant chain’s Director of Field Marketing. “And we believe our guests will leap at the opportunity to show their support, too.”
The “Salute the Troops” program also thanks restaurant guests for participating. Donors will receive a yellow wristband. Wearing the wristband into Buffalo Wild Wings anytime in May will allow them to donate again. Wearing it in June entitles guests to 10% off of their food and non-alcoholic beverage purchases (cannot be combined with other offers or discounts). One wristband per check, while supplies last.
More than 7,500 local VFW posts nationwide will be promoting this donation drive, encouraging their 450,000+ organization members to dine in their local Buffalo Wild Wings restaurants.
For more information and participating locations, visit troops.buffalowildwings.com.
